When Oyen decided she would spend the night with me in Tagaytay she started surfing for a hotel. She didn’t want to stay at the hotels Edmund and I frequented. Para maiba naman daw. She booked a night at the Inn at Cliff House. We’ve been coming to Cliff House for the past twenty, repeat 20 years but only to dine at Fire Lake Grill, Buon Giorno, to eat La Pinay at Buon Giorno (closed), but never to stay at their boutique rooms.
We checked in at 9 pm after we had dinner.
High in Agoda and Tripadvisor ratings
The Inn’s Christmas decorations have always been classy, except that I don’t know how to feel seeing dead reindeers hanging above my head.
And a dead bear greeting me at the lobby. We were told that one of the owners is a certified or licensed hunter that means all these animals are real except that they are now didoks.
A narrow patio had been converted into a dining area for hotel guests.
The minute we walked into our bedroom, mother and daughter in unison said: “we should stay for a week, not one night”.
The room is so large with two queen beds.
They only have four guest rooms and they are all suite rooms. Two are like this and two are larger with outdoor jacuzzi.
I have never seen a bathroom counter as long as this. This is 4 meters long.
The triangular bathtub fits two people.
I wish we have space in our house for kilometric long desk and counter.
This room can conveniently accommodate 4 adults, kasya kami lahat dito.
All the rooms face the Taal Lake view. We should have checked in much earlier to maximize our stay.
