Edmund left his cell phone in the Uber car - Oh My Buhay

Edmund left his cell phone in the Uber car

April 28, 2019

The PAL’s direct 13.50 hours flight to UK was turbulent in the first 30% of the flight. The plane would jolt without any prior warning from the pilot. In other airlines, most especially with US pilots, they announce in advance when to expect turbulence and for how long, like 20 minutes or three hours into the flight or for a few minutes. With the flight crew well aware in advance of the weather situation or any unfriendly clouds along the flight path somehow eases any anxiety the passengers have.

We arrived in London on the same day, April 28. We took Uber from Heathrow to our hotel, the Thistle Trafalgar. While I was checking in, I saw Mr. Yee frantically searching for his cellular phone. Je said he’s missing his phone and he must have left it in the Uber car. I turned around to look if the driver was still there but he left already. I filed a lost item report in the Uber website and I also sent messages to the driver and to Uber about the lost phone. I was confident that there wouldn’t be any more passengers for that driver because he told us he would head home after he drops us off. He returned my call at past midnight. He found Edmund’s phone and he would bring it to our hotel around 9 am. I asked him how mich shall I pay him. He didn’t want to give an amount, it’s up to me na alng daw. I told Edmund to give the driver, Cuma, £20 but sa tuwa nya nabalik phone nya, he gave Cuma £40.

I felt relieved my husband got his phone back otherwise sira na byahe namin.
The night before our flight, he ordered Oyen to back-up his phone.
Oyen—-“why?”
Dad—–“Anong why? Don’t ask why. Just back it up in case I lose my phone”.
Sumunod naman yung anak, kahit antok na antok na. She did what her dad asked her to do.
E—-“Also, back up mommy’s phone”.
O—-“Mom, do you want me to back-up your phone?”
A—-“Hindi na anak”.

Hayun na nga, Edmund accidentally left it behind at the back seat of the Uber car. Kasi naman inipit daw nya sa ilalim ng legs nya. Lagi naman daw nyang ginagawa yun. Okay lang sana kung kotse nya. Not when he’s in a cab or in another person’s car.
