I voted. - Oh My Buhay

May 13, 2019, Monday

My daughter reminded us the night before to make sure we vote. She wrote down the names of the senatorial candidates she wanted us to vote.

Edmund and I went to the polling precinct around 8:30 am. He didn’t want to go at first because he said he was not registered. I told him that Oyen reminded us to vote so we should vote.

I couldn’t find my husband’s name on the list. His name was missing and he had no biometrics. He was right, he was not registered. Actually, he was registered but I think he missed the biometrics.

I was able to exercise my right of suffrage. I also loved my photo there, I looked so young.

election

The woman seated near me was tsismosa, she was looking at my ballot. Gusto yatang mangopya.

senators

I forgot the list of senators Oyen made but I was able to guess what their names were. However, instead of 12, I only got to vote for 10 kasi I was worried my husband was inip na waiting for me outside. I voted for JV Ejercito, Cynthia Villar, sino pa ba… nalimutan ko na. For the mayoralty candidate of Quezon City, I voted for Joy Belmonte. I was surprised at the number of party-list candidates, grabe ang dami, 120+.

Congratulations to all the winners. Paghusayin ninyo ang inyong trabaho.
PAALALA: Hindi namin kayo boss. Kayo ang dapat maglingkod sa taong bayan.
