When Renee and Bert had dinner at our house, they mentioned that when they are vacationing in Las Vegas they go to The Strip every day. To walk, have coffee, have dinner, just to relax. That gave Edmund and I an idea. When we are in Las Vegas, we will visit the other hotels too.
Edmund only wanted to go to first class hotels kasi daw the old hotels are amoy luma, syempre luma na nga eh.
A—–“Punta tayo sa Luxor, dun sa may pyramid”.
E—–“Madilim dun”.
A—–“Eh saan mo gusto?”
E—–“Dun sa Metropolitan”.
There’s no Metropolitan Resort Hotel in Las Vegas. He was referring to the Cosmopolitan Hotel beside Bellagio. The one with the big eyes on the rooftop.
The garage entrance was chic and glitzy. But the hotel lobby, casino floor, dining areas, we found compact. We were looking for a sprawling lobby like Wynn’s.
Cosmopolitan’s centerpiece is their bar draped with sky-high crystals. It’s more for young people, not for senior citizens.

When Oyen was still a few weeks old, my mom told me to align her legs and straighten them everyday to make sure she grows up with straight legs. Hagurin ko raw araw-araw para lumaking diretso ang mga binti.
There were large screens across the street from Cosmopolitan. They were flashing Lady Gaga’s photo and her concert schedules. I wanted to buy tickets to Lady Gaga’s concert in Vegas but they were so expensive at $5,000 for a ticket on row one and a thousand dollars for a seat far far away from the galaxy. I’ll just watch when she’s 75 years old like Dianna Ross. I am sure the tickets would be more affordable.
We didn’t find Cosmopolitan suitable for our age group so we tried to walk to Aria but Edmund gave up because it was too far a walk. We went back to Cosmopolitan to look for a restaurant. Pero hindi namin type.
Para naman hindi sayang punta namin dito, before we headed out the door, my husband let me play the slot machine, my favorite game Quick Hits 1 cent. I played for maybe 15 minutes. I must have lost $18 or $20. I went to the cashier to encash the voucher. The woman falling inline caught my attention. Sobrang agaw pansin ang umbok ng pwet nya. Parang lahat dito maumbok ang mga harap at likod, kaya walang natira sa akin, hinakot nila lahat.
From Cosmopolitan, we went to our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Spring Mountain for a very late night dinner of hot noodlles.
Truly to each his/her own and accdg to generation 🙂 coz we loved our stay at the Cosmopolitan–the vibe, the ambience–our kids loved it, too, esp. the changing “clips” and lights even inside their elevators. Our fave buffet also was their Wicked Spoon.
Hi, we only got to see the hotel lobby, the food court area on the second floor, and a portion of the casino floor. I’ve heard good reviews about the Wicked Spoon.
