After exploring, we walked back to the Scales Seafood and Steak restaurant. The free clam chowder tasting was effective.
View from our table.
I had no space for even a bite of cake.

House specialties and combo
We were given a complimentary appetizer of fried calamari. It was soft and delicious.
I ordered a small cup of clam chowder whereas my husband, who was probably hungry, ordered a big bread bowl.
He also ordered jumbo shrimo cocktail. I was worried we wouldn’t be able to finish all these food.
I was the one who ordered dungeness crab.
Grab some crab!
I had difficulty finishing half of the crab. The steak sandwich and hotdog I ate earlier at the golf course were still lingering in my stomach. Busog pa ako.
There were so much food on the table. There was no way we could finish so we had them wrapped to go. Edmund ate just one piece of shrimp out of 5 jumbo shrimps. I couldn’t help me eat even a piece. I was so full.
Once you get the check, the waiters give each lady a long stem of red rose. I got one, but the two Filipinas dining at the nearby table gave me their roses. They are locals. One is married to an American who was very friendly to Edmund and so curious about what we do, why we are there, about golf, etc.
I regetted ordering the crab. We didn’t finish it.
When we stepped out of the restaurant, there were some homeless people. I gave the tray of left-over food including the three red roses to an old woman who looked like Vietnamese or Cambodian. Her face lit up and looked so happy. I think it was more the roses that made her happy.
