Food trip in Bangkok Chinatown - Oh My Buhay

Food trip in Bangkok Chinatown

We rested for a while after checking in at the Intercontinental Hotel then we headed to Chinatown. I was trying to contact Uber but it kept on saying it’s not accessible from my location. I didn’t know there’s no more Uber in Thailand. We took a cab instead. The driver didn’t want to base the fare on the meter. He wanted a soild 200 baht using the traffic as the reason. We haggled and agreed to a 150 fare.

I drank one bottle, medyo matabang. The vendor claims it has no water and no sugar. Mas matapang ang lasa nung pomegranate juice sa America.

A tea ceremony will be held at our residence in Manila in October as part of Oyen’s formal engagement following the Chinese tradition. Maybe I should buy 30 of these tiny cups. I only have English tea cups and not the traditional Chinese tea cups which are considerably smaller.

Nakakagutom

I couldn’t control my appetite anymore at saka gutom na’ko. We ate noodles on the sidewalk, Baht 40 / bowl.

Dito sana kami kakain pero ayaw ko kasi mainit, malapit sa ihawan.

For some reason, Thailand’s coconut is so sweet and fragrant. It has a natural pandan-like flavor.
