We finally reached our hotel, Athenaeum Grand Hotel, also called Athenaeum Palace Hotel. I was dying to go to the room but we waited for about half-an-hour while the hotel was checking us all in. A guy wearing brown pants welcomed us. Edmund and I wondered sino yun? He introduced himself to all of us– He is Jaison Yang, the CEO of Travel Warehouse, the one who arranged for this package tour in tandem with East West Bank. Nung bininyagan kaya sya ay ganyan na ang spelling ng pangalan nya or he just added the letter i? Yung iba kasi they add letter h or something. Ahnnie! Ehehedmund! Ohohoyennn! Naiikee? I hope he is as good as Cynthia Nakpil of Asia Travel when it comes to meal choices. I expect no less. Cynthia is my gold standard when it comes to food choices.

Athenaeum
Glasses of champagne were waiting for us. That was nice but I wanted buko juice.

The hotel has the words luxury suites attached to it, kala ko tuloy meron kaming pantry and sofa. Okay lang basta malamig and malaki ang kama. Our room has a king bed.

The soap was so tiny. I had trouble removing the plastic cover. Ahhhhh I was so inis, my husband helped me remove the plastic. My mood was still bad and every little thing irritated me. Sobrang tipid naman nitong sabon. Kala ko luxury suites.

The tiles are nice but are very slippery. Edmund cautioned me “oh tart madulas ang tiles ingat ka baka ka madulas”.

View from our room. For a split second I thought of requesting to change rooms for a better view but ayy pagod na pagod na ako I just wanted to lay my head on the pillow.
E—-“ang tigas ng kama!”
