Edmund and I were invited to the 49th Year anniversary of Metrobank. I totally forgot that it was on that day, monday, September 5. I went to the office in very casual clothes. I went back home and changed outfit. From our house to Buendia, it took about half-hour. But when we reached the corner going to Metrobank Plaza, naku, buhol -buhol na ang traffic. It took another hour to reach the party. Actually, I didn’t want to proceed anymore bec I was beginning to feel dizzy sitting in the traffic but we couldn’t turn-around anymoe because the roads were congested. I was so terrified when I discovered I left my medicine bottle in my other bag. I changed kasi my purse into a black one to match my dress and shoes.
There are a few things that I cannot leave the house without—- my kilay, Biogesic, Bonamine, and Ponstan SF500 for my migraine.
When I arrived, there were so many wang-wangs outside, eh medyo dagdag traffic sila.
When I entered the building, oh my, it was jampacked and I was so glad Edmund decided not to come with me, kundi dalawa pa kaming nahilo. Siksikan.
Former President Fidel V. Ramos, left the building about half hour before I arrived. Sayang, I wanted to say kumusta to him. Last time I saw him was at his daughter Jo’s wake.
One of Metrobank’s officer probably noticed how uneasy I was with the huge commotion, He assured me that they would invite me and Edmund again in January, many people still, but not like this, according to him.
This is Josephine KH See Yap. She’s Metrobank’s First Vice President. She approached me while I was about to leave. She said our sons were classmates in Xavier. They attended my son’s 8th birthday held in the garage of my mother-in-law. I remember, I just ordered Jollibee packs.
Wow, what a small world, she could still remember and recognize me. Ako naman, sobrang makakalimutin.

Metrobank’s staff in a frenzy, while giving-out plastic water jar souvenirs to the hundreds or maybe a thousand guests.
With Hon. Domingo Siazon, former Philippine Ambassador to Japan and Antonio Abacan, Chairman of Metrobank.
Siazon was the Secretary of Foreign Affairs during the time of President Erap Estrada. We’ve traveled together in several state visits.
The event was held on September 5 not 25.
Cheers to Metrobank!
