We thought of having an early Buena Noche at Le Chef but when we got there we changed our minds. We were not in the mood to have a full meal and we also wanted to avoid people.
Chairs were set up in the courtyard of the hotel for the New Year countdown

We were not sure if we wanted to eat or not so we walked aimlessly around and took selfies. Hello 2021!
We noticed that the number of people in the hotel’s yard was building up so we moved away.
8:39 pm
We walked to the small Christmas bazaar at Forest Lodge’s parking area because it was quieter there.
No fancy food for Buena Noche here, only street food.
We pulled two chairs and a small table away and set it up here. This would be our exclusive spot for our New Year date. My husband sprayed alcohol all over to make sure our date was covid-free.
We ditched fine dining at Le Chef for street food such as inihaw na mais, pork barbeque, and buko juice instead of red wine.

I get high eating inihaw na mais. This is better than caviar.
I was glad we stayed and ate here instead of dining at Le Chef or in some fancy restaurant.
I felt relaxed. I enjoyed the pine fresh air and simple surroundings. I felt confident and safe enough to take off my mask and face shield while enjoying the simple street food.
