Sunset dinner at Horatio’s

My McGyver husband helped my sister in law upgrade her 1980s kitchen to a sparkling and spanking brand new one.
This was our gift to them, something that would last for another 30 years.

As her way of thanking us, most specially Mister Yee, Dimple treated us to a dinner at the sunset-bathed restaurant by the Marina, Horatio’s.

We could also see airplanes landing.

There are many retail businesses looking for additional employees but there are still many who are filing for unemployment.

They seemed to be understaff.   We waited for about 20 minutes before they led us to our table.  I thought the restaurant was full but to my surprise a whole section was empty.

Dimple lost her appetite when she got a text message from her contractor that water was leaking from the master bath down to the guest bedroom on the ground floor. Malakas daw so she just had her food wrapped and hurriedly took off with Len.

It was Dimple who picked up the tab. Thank you.

Horatio’s opened in 1979 and is located in the historic 200 year old Royal Navy building docked at the Marina in San Leandro, California. It has romantic waterfront views of the San Francisco Bay. A visit at this place is always worth the trip for me. There’s a hotel or inn across the parking lot and next time I am in California, I’ll staycation there, just to inhale the seabreeze and enjoy the waterview and sunset.
