We’ve had three different cooks ever since Antonia retired last year. The most recent one, the same name as mine, left after Edmund scolded her. It wasn’t really a big deal. Our dalmatian dog Lucy has regained her strength and could now climb up the stairs. She was able to sneak in the auxiliary kitchen and she peed on the floor. And oh boy, she created a huge puddle of pee. Annie was the one in the kitchen so Edmund asked her to mop and dry the floor kasi baka merong madulas.
When Edmund was about to eat, Annie served him sunog na isda. When Edmund asked bakit sunog, she reasoned out “kasi inutusan mo ako linisin yung ihi ni Lucy.”
Our new cook RL is from Sorsogon. When I asked about her love life, it was like a can of worms suddenly opened. Her emotions overflowed, including her tears.

This is her story:
Her husband of 13 years worked at a gas station. The wife of the owner took fancy of him and they carried on a romantic relationship. The woman has grown-up children all based in the US. When the husband of the woman died, the wife naturally inherited his business. RL’s husband left her for his rich boss. He doesn’t forget his obligation to his children. He gives them P15,000 every two weeks. He now drives a brand-new Ford Ranger and Ford Everest, both gifts from the rich mistress.
