My driver and maid have to eat before we drive back to Manila kasi baka magutom sila, most especially if we get caught in the rush hour traffic jams.
I asked them to drop me off at Green ATS so they could find a place to eat. I learned later that they went to the litsonan.
5:52 pm
We’ve seen the growth of Green ATS restaurant which started as a simple bahay kubo restaurant. The owner, Virgie, used to be the one cooking in the makeshift kitchen. It’s always nice to see small businesses flourish.
Their place sits on the ridge with great views of the Taal Lake.
A long time ago, maybe 15 years ago, we were spending a weekend in Tagaytay. Natamad kami to go out for lunch so I sent our driver Mario to take out food from Green ATS. I listed down our orders like this:
1. Pansit Bihon 2. Bulalo 3. Crispy Pata 4. Tawilis 5. Pork sisig 6. Rice, etc. I no longer remember what else was on the list. I gave him P1,500 cash. He came back after almost two hours and told me I owe the restaurant some more money, tila P1,200. I was expecting some sukli from my P1,500 and instead may utang pa ako. Yun pala, he ordered 3 Crispy Patas, 2 orders of Bulalo, 4 orders of Tawilis, limang platong pork sisig, etc. Kaya pala ang dami daming rice, anim na balot. Kunsumisyon. Para kaming may party.
I had sinigang na hipon and pritong tawilis. I finished the big cup of rice but I couldn’t finish the tawilis and sinigang.
My dessert was minatamis na saging with crushed ice and milk.
