I had dinner with some wonderful people the other night. Our topic touched our concern about peace in the Philippines and in the world.
Someone said that it’s a double negative with Trump here and Duterte there. Someone added that there could be war in 5 years. Michael asked “so where is the safest place?”
Dennis answered it’s still safer here in America. I personally don’t know. When there’s a war, there’s no safe place in this planet. Nuong araw yes. Countries were geographically isolated from wars in other areas. But in this century, you can be reached by weapons of mass destruction anywhere you hide.
So what do we do? Nothing. We can’t do anything.
Let’s just continue to live our lives. Let’s be good people. If you are not a good person, then please start today. Choose to be good. Let’s wish each other well. Let’s be compassionate and helpful. Let’s do good. Let’s not add to the world’s chaos. Let’s forgive those who have wronged us. If you cannot, just avoid them.
Pray for world peace. Pray for peace in our own country.
I’ll pray for peace in your hearts. Mine too.
