My brother in law Bong is an active member / officer of the Masonic Brotherhood. or Brotherhood of Masons.
He and my sister attended the First Annual Installation of Officers of the American Canyon Lodge No. 875 in Napa Valley and they brought me along.
The American Canyon Lodge No. 875 officers are Elmer Andrei Manaid (Master), Manuel Ortiz-Luis II (Senior Warden), Charlie Foronda (Junior Warden), Rodney Suspene (Treasurer), Samuel Bayle (Secretary), Kenneth Macasaet (Chaplain), Severino Gorospe Jr. (Senior Deacon), Preme Monta Jr. (Junior Deacon), Thomas Chavez (Assistant Secretary), Lloyd Espiritu (Marshall), Rollie Caabay (Senior Steward), Albert Matel (Junior Steward), Angelo Espana (Tyler), John Wasson, PM (Inspector, 131st Masonic District, Grand Sword Bearer). The installing team were MW M. David Perry, PGM, Tom Chavez, Walberto Honey.

The mayor of the city is married to a Filipina.
I made the mistake of leaving the house without any food in my stomach. Since I was leaving for Manila the next day, I was busy doing last minute stuff and packing. I was cleaning the house the whole morning and doing some calls. It was a half hour and a half drive and we had no time to stop food. Bynthe time they started the ceremony, I was already starving.
We moved to another hall for dinner.
I couldn’t wait any longer. I felt like fainting from hunger. Before they opened the buffet table, I had already grabbed some rice cakes from the kitchen.
They were calling according to table number. I couldn’t wait for them to call table number eight. I joined those from table number 1.
