It’s our wedding anniversary and it’s the first time that we’re physically apart on our anniversary day. Edmund is in Manila and I am here alone in a 3 degrees city. Before I left Manila, it was already planned that we would not be together on this day.
He and Oyen attended the simbang gabi mass and had Krisy Kreme for breakfast. While me, I will go to mass then eat by myself. I want to explore other cities but I don’t have a driver and I am scared to venture away from my comfort zone. Malungkot.
In a few minutes, parang nahihilo ako.

We’ve already greeted each other thru Viber texts. Mabuti yan, tipid, no more blow out. When you’ve been married for 300 years, wala ng maraming kung anu-ano, text na lang okay na.

Facebook is full of wedding anniversary posts too. Couples greet each other and shower each other with phrases like “can’t live without you”, “you’re my life and soul”. Tapos they post photos nila kissing on the lips. It’s nice to look at young couples kissing but when you’re old and wrinkly, parang nakaka-ek pag meron akong nakikitang naghahalikan sa Facebook. Nakaka-walang ganang kumain.
