I went inside the Teresita’s Antiques and Reproductions store located between Brod Pit and Rose Bowl Restaurants hoping to find some tiny and cheap souvenir.
The store was quite spacious, it’s like a big house. As I reached the end part of the store, my driver suddenly appeared from somewhere. I ignored him and I just continued scanning the statues.
I saw and liked these two. Problem was, they’re big and not cheap.
San Ruiz, P120,000
Santa Cecilia, P350,000
The sales lady said they bought the statue of Santa Cecilia from a church.
Why would the church sell their statues?
I didn’t buy anything. When I was back in the car, I asked my driver why he was inside the store.
Sgt. A — Nagpunta ako mam sa banyo nila.
(I didn’t say anything, he continued…)
Sgt. A — Mam, may multo dyan. Kasi kikisap-kisap yung ilaw dun sa banyo.
Me ———– Multo? baka nagustuhan ka.
(He didn’t say anything, natakot siguro).
