It’s been more than two weeks since our new maid/ kasambahay Antonia came into our lives. There are good days and bad days. There were a few times we found her hair in our food and once Edmund almost swallowed a piece of plastic.
She’s honest, judging from the two times I sent her to the wet market. She gave me a full accounting complete with palengke receipts and sukli.
She’s gradually adjusting to our eating habits and life style.
Her job is fairly easy because lately, we only required her to prepare two dishes, no longer a full meal with rice.
She had the easiest task of boiling the potatoes.
We just put the toppings- sour cream, bacon, chives (spring onions), cheese may also be added.
For faster and easier preparation of this dish, boiling is acceptable. But if you have more time, then baking is also good.
Like chicken arroz caldo for breakfast.
Her Arroz a la Valenciana is like eating suman con super lagkit.
We just had salad tonight. Wala syang hirap. I just asked her to pan grill the chicken.
