Edmund came home from Vietnam with bad colds and cough but he got well after two days. He told me he loaded himself with Vitamin C. From 500 mg, he took 2,000 – 3,000 a day. Maybe nahawa ako sa kanya. Pero hindi naman kami nag-lips to lips pwera na lang kung habang natutulog ako eh pinupog nya ako ng halik.
Ay oo nga pala virus is airborne.
I’ve been having insomnia lately. Maybe because I lacked sleep my body resistance dropped.
I went to Cardinal Santos Hospital today. I was a little hesitant to go because I was afraid to catch some virus or bacteria.
First time I’ve seen this flower cart in the narrow hallway. One time I had a major operation (15 years ago), I received a lot of flowers. Hindi lang nasa vase ha, nasa kahoy. Sa dami ng bulaklak, halos mapuno yung kwarto ko. Takot na takot nga ako baka kako malapit na akong mamatay kasi yung mga bulaklak after a while, mabantot, parang amoy punerarya. The nurses and doctors thought I was some hot shot person sa dami ng flowers.
Aside from the standard hinga ng malalim, inhale, exhale, Dr. Palafox also checked my BP, throat, temperature, and ECG.
Omb——-“Doc, Mers-Cov ba yan?”
He said I have balikbayan flu brought here daw by the travelers. Same symptoms as a regular flu except no fever. There were many balikbayans from America that came home last January with colds, cough, body malaise. Eto na nga yun. He said the virus is airborne.
He prescribed Tamiflu and Tuseran Forte.
As soon as I got home, I posted a flu warning.
As soon as my children arrive, they come to our room to say hi. My son always gives me a kiss, baka mahawa.
When Edmund arrived, as usual he’s going to give me a hug.
I stepped back.
Omb————“Ay tart, mahahawa ka sa virus”.
E————–“Sa akin rin naman galing yan”.
