It’s very quiet here at home.  We have no noche buena, no paputok.  I also do not have new Chinese New Year decorations.

I was not able to go to Ongpin to buy Year of the Sheep decors.  I’ll just go next week or as soon as I am feeling better.

I just used last year’s decor, dragon pa ito.

I sent the two maids to the market this afternoon to buy red flowers and kiat-kiat.

Kiat-kiat

She paid P75 for each pack of Kiat-kiat, which is usually P70 only and P5 more for the red Malaysian mums. There has never an instance when any of our household staff bought something at a price lower or the same than what I usually paid. Lagi na lang mas mahal ang bili nila. Maybe they don’t negotiate for a discount.

Edmund noticed the Christmas goblet.
E———–“Di ba pang Christmas yan?”
A———–“Pwede na rin yan, basta red”.

No party tomorrow except for the Lion dance that would come around 3 pm.  That’s the time we would light the sawa (Judas Belt).

Up until Monday,  I couldn’t decide whether to host a party or not.  Since my throat and body were hurting,  no na lang,  we’ll just eat in Summer Palace tomorrow night.   Edmund said it’s better daw,  we would be more relaxed.    Buti na lang,  imagine if I’ve invited friends for tomorrow,  I have to cancel it because I’m sick, baka mahawa pa sila.

Lights are on all night long so that the Good Luck Fairy (Saint) and the Chinese New Year blessings would find their way into our home.
