Back at The Strip. I am jumping around Las Vegas from Paris, to Holiday Inn to Bally’s Hotel and Casino. This will be my residence till I leave next week.
I can’t remember when Edmund and I first came to Las Vegas for the Automotive Accessories Show. I think my son was only 8 years old. And we stayed at this hotel, Bally’s. I have no recollection how our room looked like. I am sure I have photos but not sure where I kept them or if I still have them. I do remember that we took a direct flight from Manila to LA, then another flight to Las Vegas. We arrived at midnight.
Bally’s is a member of the Caesars Group, who owns Rio, Paris Las Vegas, Harrah’s, Flamingo, Cromwell, Linq, Planet Hollywood, and of course their flagship brand, Caesar’s Palace. The buildings of Paris and Bally’s are interconnected. Caesar’s is across the street while Planet Hollywood is a 3 minute walk.
When I checked in, the one at the front desk was a Filipina, if I remember it right, her name is Didith. When I requested for a nice room, newer and quiet and no smoking, she said the newer ones are noisy. She said this room she’s giving me has a nice view, with partial view of the Bellagio fountains. I said okay.
I was expecting a very old-looking room similar to the one in Rio. To my surprise, it’s not. Not very new like our rooms in Paris, but pwede na. It’s also spacious, it looks bigger than Paris.
The mattress is a little lubog na. Ilang libo na kasi ang nag-ug-ugan dito sa tagal na ng panahon.

It was Sunday, I went out at past 9 pm to find food. From the lobby, there’s an escalator that leads to this tube leading to the main Las Vegas Blvd otherwise known as The Strip.

These shops were not here yet 20 years ago.
Most of the boutique shops were already closed when I arrived except for the restaurants.
