Barreto and Atong Ang

I am always the last to know about the juicy news happening around me. I am not up to date with the local news. Puro pinatay, aksidente, pulitika. I only watch CNN and House Hunters on HGTV that’s why my world is so limited. I do watch the daily newspaper but I focus on the US dollar exchange rate for the day, the front page, editorial. I don’t go to the leisure, sports and entertainment sections.

I only got wind of the Barreto squabble from my husband. He is so updated, syempre galing sa kwentuhan nila after playing golf and from the internet. He has his own conspiracy theory. My view is very neutral. The Atong Ang / Barreto teleserye is effective because the whole Philippines is watching. Good or bad publicity is still publicity.

Today I was home by 4 pm. I was feeling dizzy. I could be pregnant with rice and pasta.
I just stayed in the room. After watching House Hunters International I decided to watch tonight’s local news for a change. There’s a taped interview of Noli de Castro with Atong Ang. Syempre tsismosa rin tayo so pinanood ko. My God, there were too many commercials and at some point, I totally forgot what I was watching.

Based on Atong Ang’s pronouncements, my guess is hindi nya naging girlfriend si Claudine and Gretchen. Pero naging sila ni Nicole. They showed a photo of Atong Ang and Gretchen sleeping during the flight, baka daw yung stewardess ang kumuha ng picture.
Ako nga rin, ilang beses nakatulog, nakasubsob ako sa dibdib nung kalapit ko, na hindi ko naman kilala, Americano. Nagising ako kasi naramdaman ko itinutulak nung lalaki ang ulo ko palayo sa kanya. That was long time ago when the plane was still the old style, seats had no separator for privacy.
Ilang na ilang siguro. Ang mas grabe, papunta ako sa toilet, eh naka full recline yung seat nya. Lumalakdang ako dahan-dahan sa may paanan nya, dumulas ang hawak ko sa back cushion, nasalampak ako dun sa lalaki, nahiga ako ng konti sa may legs nya. Imagine kung I was facing the other way, eh di nadaganan ko sya na paharap. Nay ko.

Whatever the Barreto sisters are fighting about, whatever the root cause is, I hope they go past that and be civil to each other. They are sisters and nothing can change that. Maybe in the future, they will all come into their senses and just shrug their shoulders off. I am sure one day they will find it in their hearts to forgive.
