We were surprised when Marife handed me over a big Fortnum & Mason shopping bag.
It was an even bigger surprise that her no occasion gift was in a big box elegantly store-wrapped.
Marife said “pang collection mo Ms. Annie”. She knows I love teacups. I don’t really consider myself a serious collector. I do love buying teacups. I enjoy very much going to antique stores in search of something that would catch my fancy.
I didn’t have any clue what was inside because I wasn’t really expecting to receive a gift from Marife. I got the biggest surprise after I opened it!
The color would blend well with my current home decor most especially the gold trims.
Marife was so cute. She even included a gift receipt in case I didn’t like her gift I could go to Fortnum & Mason and exchange it for something else. I haven’t exchanged a gift that was given to me. For me it’s a gift that the giver picked so whatever that was, I would keep it. Unless it was a dress and the size didn’t fit me. I would go and look for a bigger size.
I felt relieved that it was made in England and not by our neighbor. However, even if it was made in China, I would still appreciate it and keep it as a souvenir from Marife.
Thank you so much Marife for your thoughtfulness. I really love this set and would neither return nor exchange, give away or sell it.
K E E P only. Thank you.
That’s so sweet of Marife. I noticed the excellent handwriting right away. Omg is that Marife’s handwriting? Lovely
Hi Joey, I was also amazed at how beautiful her handwriting was. Yes, that is her handwriting. Sobrang ganda.
Thank you Joey!
Oh Ms Annie thank you so much and you’re more than welcome! The lunch was lovely and our conversation about Brexit was one I would say interesting. I’m glad that you like the teacups set and strainer. x
