There was a Marshalls store near my sister’s house some 25 years ago. I used to frequent that with Edmund and my daughter whenever we visited my parents and siblings in summer. To our dismay, they closed that branch due to maybe lack of business.
Last year, we discovered a more high-end Marshalls store in Santa Rosa, California. Unfortunately, we could not go there again because of the long 2 to 2.5 hours drive.
The closest we have is the one in Pleasant Hill near Concord, beside the Dick’s Sporting Goods.
It’s not always that we find something new. Tyempuhan lang. But it’s always nice to look at their merchandise. My favorite is their home decors section.
This sign is not effective. We have a sticker on our masters bedroom wall and Edmund doesn’t always kiss me goodnight.
Twice in the past, I was able to find beautiful cocktail dresses made in India. Lately, wala na. They only have the usual made in China dresses.
I wanted to get the flamingo electric fan. Two problems– its 110 V and too tall for the balikbayan box.
Color gray is in. They’re everywhere.
Guests will be offended if I place this throw pillow in the living room.
Baka umalis.
We went to Marshalls twice last week. The first time I spotted this two lamp shades, I already liked them. I kept on going back to look at them. But how could I bring them home. The white blown glass could break. Edmund noticed that I was standing in front of this two for several minutes just staring at them. I liked the blue color and the white base. I couldn’t decide how would I be able to bring them home.
Edmund went back to Dick’s after two days to buy the NBA Champions t-shirts.
Instead of going with him to Dick’s, I went inside Marshalls. This time,
I didn’t control myself. Binili ko na. Edmund —-‘Hindi mo na napigilan”.
