When people greet me, they just say “mam”. Good evening mam, hello mam, hi mam sir, puro mam. It’s so generic. OMB yes that’s me. But for people who don’t read my blog or those who don’t know I have a blog, they still address me as “mam”. There are at least 3 billion mams in the world. It doesn’t distinguish me from the rest.

Ka Felicing. It’s not a name but it adds dignity to the name. Meron respeto. It connotes you are respected. Mam Annie, generic nga, hindi ko type. Lahat na ng tao tinatawag ng mam.
My workers at the minifarm-to-be call me madame. Para naman akong si Madam Auring. Tingnan ko nga guhit ng mga palad nyo.
The Mexican gardener and workers in the US calls me senyora. Senyora Annie.
Yun, cute yon, kasi they pronounce my name differently. The accent is on the i. Same accent as in mani (peanuts), just remove the m. Senyora (M)ani. Pag nasa tate okay lang yun. Dito kung tawagin akong senyora, baka mapagkamalan naman tayong milyonarya parang si Donya Buding. Hindi bagay tawaging senyora ang nagsa-shopping sa Ross, Marshall’s and TJ Max.
