CBD stands for Cannabidiol, an extract from the cannabis plant (street name is weed).
We’ve heard from some friends that they are taking CBD oil to help them sleep better. My friend TBC told me he takes half a teaspoon of CBD Oil at night to help him sleep, otherwise, he only gets 3 hours of sleep each night.
A 72-year-old sports-minded male takes CBD too and he claims it helps him participate actively in sports.
Edmund also sleeps intermittently and at night, he only gets 4 to 5 hours of sleep. He wants to sleep for 6 hours at least and is encouraged by what he heard that the cannabis oil could also remove some of his body aches.
Because of these claims, my husband has started reading articles about what CBD is, uses, and its efficacy.
Since it’s legal in Vegas, we found several stores selling the CBD oil, massage balm, lotion, etc.
Oyen gave me one tube of CBD balm for muscle pain. The pain is still here but I love the smell.
I keep smelling it. Hindi naman ako naha-high.
After we had dimsum in Chinatown, we drove by a big store that says Cultivate. We made a U-turn to check it out. This company is high-end. There’s a security guard that opens the door which leads to a receiving room with a receptionist. After submitting our IDs for registration, only then we were allowed to enter the actual store. The merchandise are inside glass cabinets and customers must go through the Cultivates sales staff. You cannot just touch the items and make usyoso.
Edmund bought a small bottle of oil supposedly for better sleep, and a small bottle of muscle ache cream. These were not cheap. These two cost more than a hundred dollars.
Effective? My left hand really hurts. I’ve been putting the CBD cream and the balm several times a day and so far, wahhh epek.
Edmund bought the oil, not these capsules. And how’s his sleep? Ewan ko sa kanya, kesyo pareho lang daw. I think his sleep has improved a bit, not considerably. Maybe he needs a higher dose.
The way I see it, the CBD popularity will surge (mauuso) and we’ll see thousands of products in the market mixed with a little CBD claiming all sorts of miraculous healing effects
Only time will tell if this is effective or not.
