My friend Chian Callaghan has abandoned condominium living in Makati and is now busy converting a mountainside / hill in Laurel, Batangas into a resort, relaxation and holistic center. Named NARRA HILL, it’s only a 10 minute drive from Tagaytay proper.
Oyen and I visited her after our late lunch at Fire Lake Grill. We arrived at Chian’s place at 3:15 pm.
What she’s doing there is very impressive. She has so far built a 5-bedroom guest house which would eventually be opened to weddings.
There’s a kubo designed by Architect George Yulo that’s still under construction. It has two floors and eventually a lower ground floor. It has a pantry, toilet, two bedrooms, and each floor overlooks the magnificent view of nature.
One could just sit all day and stare at the sky and Taal Volcano.
This is a beautiful place. Once finished, I am going to bring the whole family here.
This whole 2.5 hectares spread would be opened to the public maybe next year. You could rent the two bedroom kubo, the 5 bedroom guest house, and there would be a wedding terrace/venue good for 100 people, etc. all overlooking the mountains and Taal Lake.
