Oyen and I went to Tagaytay last Sunday. We left our house at 12:20 noon. There was no traffic as it was a gloomy day, siguro people didn’t want to leave their homes.
By 1:30, we’re in Tagaytay. We thought of trying another restaurant. Something new, something different. How many times have I mentioned Fire Lake Grill, Chef Paul. How many times have I showed pictures of the tuna salad nicoise and the dessert?
After some thought, we chose our first choice- Fire Lake Grill.

Their head waiter, Dave, presented us with a list of new stuff that Chef Paul has created.

He revised the Tuna Salad Nicoise. I prefer his original one with lime cilantro dressing. This new salad is good but it doesn’t have the wow effect at first taste that his old one does. Edmund also tells me to shy away from eating beans kasi nirarayuma na kami.

Chowder, I forgot if Seafood, but definitely not clam.

Oyen hit the jackpot when she ordered the Sirloin Steak. The portions are good enough and the seasoning is perfect. Ang sarap. I will definitely order this next time.

Oyen had this panna cotta. I tasted it but I don’t remember how it tasted kasi I was distracted. I think we were chatting with Chef Paul.
008

One could never go wrong with this pineapple carpaccio with pink peppercorns.

Please mention ohmybuhay or my name when you dine at Fire Lake Grill. Baka batuhin kayo ng tinapay. Okay lang masarap tinapay nila dun.
