You haven’t been to Greece if you haven’t seen the ancient Acropolis and the only convincing proof of visit is a selfie with the Acropolis in the background.
And it’s not easy to have. A climb approximately 330 steps is necessary to reach it. Chicken to my husband who regularly plays golf, but a Himalayan challenge for someone who just sits, eats, sleeps- that’s me.
What makes it even more hazardous to my health is the 40 degree-like heat. Hay init. My brand-new hat is no match to the blazing sun.
At 3pm, the sun is just about to get angrier And here we are…. starting our climb, 10 steps at a time. My heart is beating faster, kaya konting akyat, tapos pahinga, lakad, pahinga.
My husband says if I can’t bear the heat and steep climb, we go back to the bus, ayy sayang naman we are here already. I just need to stop, rest and catch my breath after every 10 meters.
Oh finally, Acropolis here we are. I made it to the top. Thanks to my gentleman husband.
