Three additional pounds in one week.
And here we are again, eating.
From the A. shop, we walked thru the door on the second floor of that new shopping and dining complex in Bonifacio High Street and it led us to a row of newly opened restaurants.
I actually wanted to bring Aileen to Enderun’s Restaurant 101 but when we saw Crystal Jade, mukhang masarap, kaya dito na lang kami.
The Crystal Jade at the Fort is a franchise from Singapore.
Ampalaya con bulaklak
It’s Chinese but the decor is modern.
Albert worked for one and a half years in Singapore at the main Cyrstal Jade.
The Philippine franchisee hired him to oversee the opening of this restaurant at the Fort.
It took him sometime to learn how to dissect the Peking duck using the thong, and spoons.
Albert scraped every available fat from the skin. Buti na lang. Thank you Albert.
Traditional Chinese restaurants give hot towels but Crystal Jade has this wet paper tissue; probably to avoid the need to wash hand cotton towels. Siguro less tedious and more savings.
This crispy seafood noodles was sooo delicious. Aileen and I couldn’t stop eating it until we realized that we were too full to eat the other dishes.
We ordered half Peking duck two ways. We ate the skin rolled with cucumber, leeks and Hoisin sauce, but didn’t even touch the Minced Peking Duck Meat with lettuce.
We were too full but we still managed to cap our meal with a dessert of melon with sago. Sobrang watery.
I put on three pounds in one week. ‘taka ka pa?
Aileen. Her patented pose is same as Edmund’s. Actually this is the most logical of all poses kasi hindi ka naman mapapansin kung hindi ka nakadipa.
