We all had fun at Randy and Amanda’s wedding reception.
There were no other ceremonies except for Kuya Junior’s speech and Amanda’s brother’s insights on the newly weds’ love and respect for each other.
No bridal cake, no slicing of the cake including the corniest palakihan ng subo. No doves, no kling-kling-kling of the glasses. The couple just kissed each other whenever they wanted to. No throwing of bouquet. Maigi nga kasi nagkakandudulas pa yung mga single girls para masalo kasi gusto ng mag-asawa. Walang garter na kakagatin nung single guy at hihilahin hanggang sa hita at minsan halos sa singit na nung bridesmaid. Walang kahalayan. Walang sisigaw-sigaw na kisssss! kisssss!
No video clips showing the couple’s travels at the Golden Gate Bridge, Boracay, Eiffel Tower, Victoria Park in Hongkong, Disneyland, etc.
No visual presentations of the life and times of the bride and groom showing photos from the day they were born. No nursery graduation photos, no showing of school medals and their baptismal photos.
Kuya Junior’s speech (Father of the Groom)
Amanda with her dad, Mr. Daflos.
Randy, dancing with his mom, Ate Linda, while his 4 brothers were having fun. Kuya wanted to have a daughter kaya dumami ang anak nila, pero puro lalaki ang lumabas. They gave up trying after their fifth son, Ryan, was born. The first three were born in the Phils, while Randy and Ryan were made in California.
Pati ako napasayaw. Nakaka-engganyo.

My nephews, plus Sydney and Emily, dancing to Psy’s Gangnam Style
The party was all about dancing. The Tan’s were the only Asians in the crowd. And you know Americans are less inhibited than we Filipinos. They’re so game. There was no need to coax them to dance.
Even before the food was served, the guests were already prancing on the dance floor. Walang D.I. na matutulis ang hinaharap. No need for dance instructors because it’s Disco Maskipaps.
(Maski-papaano. Dance anyway you like.)
