The newly weds sponsored a complimentary buffet breakfast the morning after the wedding.
Oyen and I arrived at the dining room at 10 am. My relatives were almost done eating except for Ate Linda and Kuya Junior.
Nasalubong ko ang Kuya after he came from the buffet “Puro cholesterol ito”, pointing at his food. I looked at his plate. It had one small sausage, half slice of french toast and some potatoes. He also requested for 2 sunny side up eggs. Na-guilty naman ako, my plate had strips of bacon.
I requested for white egg omelet. The chef took out a carton of egg whites with preservatives. I asked if the taste is the same as the freshly cracked eggs. He assured me they’re exactly the same.
Love was definitely in the air at the wedding reception.
I met at least two couples who are engaged to be married in 2014.
At my table was a couple who’s been dating for two years. Panay ang lips to lips. Isang subo ng salad, lips to lips, subo ulit, lips to lips na naman. Kaya hindi naubos yung pagkain nila. Ganyan talaga pag in-love. I saw them dancing, nakapulupot kahit disco ang music. Nagtutukaan na naman. The guy caught me looking at them. Siguro sabi “inggit ka lang”. English nga pala dahil Americano- “Behhh!”.
I’ve seen another couple dancing on the sides while drinking beer. Isang lagok, lips to lips, inom ulit, lips to lips na naman. Siguro honeymooners yun. Definitely not 30 years married!
I saw them again at breakfast, staring at each other, ang lalagkit ng tinginan, kissing between bites.
Mai-suggest nga kay sweetheart na kami rin mag-lips to lips. I think it’s a good idea.
Siguro, after a week, pag-wala na akong jetlag. Basta before our wedding anniversary in December.
Isulat ko nga sa dingding at baka malimutan ko.
