First time I am watching Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) tv show on ABS-CBN. Although not every night, and not the whole hour, I manage to observe who I think is deserving to win. Choosing one among the 5 housemates- Jane Oineza, Loisa Andalio, Maris Racal, Vicky Rushton, and Daniel Matsunaga, I choose Daniel.

He exhibited sincerity, kindness, concern, humility. Not because he wanted to win, pero natural na natural lang. Others show good qualities because they’re aware that these are needed to win. They also play up with their life’s miseries to get the audience’s compassion, but Daniel is not like that.

Maganda ang ugali nung bata. Kakanyahan na sa kanya ang pagiging mabuting tao. May malasakit sa kapwa. Marunong makipag-kapwa tao. Hindi traydor.

Deserving doesn’t mean ENTITLED. Others have a wrong notion that one is deserving to win because he/she needs the prizes and the glory. Deserving is not based on NEED and a sense of entitlement.

All of them have accomplished a great deal. It’s not easy to live in that house, the tasks were physically taxing. But more than the galing in the weekly tasks, the audience must look deeper into the person’s character. Yung malalim ang kabaitan at mabuting asal. Hindi lang kunwari.

In my personal opinion, based on what I have only observed on the PBB tv show, Daniel Matsunaga passed all the criteria. Tahimik lang sya, walang drama, walang pagpapanggap. But I could see his bearings. Mabait at responsableng bata. At his age of 25, maganda ang pananaw sa buhay. Marunong makisama at magparaya. Iyan ang deserving talaga.

Daniel

Bukas I will ask my staff to teach me how to vote for Daniel to stay.
