We only watched the practice game and the first day of the US Open Golf Tournament. We couldn’t watch till the championship day because Edmund’s sister and her family were going to San Francisco and my husband would be their tour guide.
So goodbye Mr. Tiger Woods for now. We hope to catch you next year in Augusta if our schedule permits. Or better yet, would you like to come to the Philippines instead to play golf with my husband? Give him plus 8, 8.
Fast forward: Gary Woodland won the 119th U.S. Open Golf. His father Dan was teary-eyed while watching his son accept his trophy. Dan suffered a stroke in 2009 while watching his son play. He thought it was just heartburn. He had a triple bypass. Doctors told him he “passed” and asked if he had seen the light. And when they thought his operation was a success, two days later he suffered a cardiac arrest. Gary Woodland won the championship on June 16, Father’s Day, a perfect gift for his dad.
Tiger trailed far far behind finishing with a two under. Even if Tiger is kulelat, love ko pa rin sya.
