Why would I not put on weight, kain dito kain doon. Yen and I had a 4 hours eating rendezvous a few nights ago at Gallery by Chele. Few days later we had dinner at the Jazmine Chinese Restaurant on the second floor of New World Makati Hotel in Greenbelt. Syempre you cannot have Chinese food without eating a lot.
Our lawyer based in the US was in town so I invited him to join my family for dinner. At first I was intending to bring him to Gallery by Chele but after Oyen and I went thru several names of restaurants, I picked Jazmine. Everybody loves Chinese food, but not the Chinese. I do not like the Chinese who take advantage of our country and victimize our hapless people.
Jazmine is a presentable place to bring guests.
Yen and I were the firsts to arrive so we went over the menu list while waiting. Edmund arrived next, then Atty. Crisostomo who left his driver in the middle of heavy traffic to just walk to reach the hotel on time.
We were only 5. Ang hina pa nilang kumain. We orderd half Peking Duck which we almost didn’t finish.
Atty. Boy Crisostomo and Atty. Dennis Mesina are long time friends. Dennis was also with Siguion Reyna Law before he moved to the US. Nakakatuwa silang kasama. All we did was laugh. Meron silang lawyer jokes. Ako rin meron but I forgot to share it with them. Ngayon na lang: A lawyer and a doctor who are enemies saw each other at a party. The doctor told the lawyer “A little bird told me what kind of lawyer you are, cheap cheap”.
The doctor retaliated by saying “A little duck told me what kind of doctor you are”.
Our dessert was buchi and coconut sago. I couldn’t understand why the restaurant could not give a decent amount of serving. Napaka mura lang naman ng sago and coconut milk.
