Election survey December 2, 2015

The Bongbong Marcos and Miriam Defensor-Santiago tandem came out ahead of the other candidates in my election survey of 50 persons on December 1 here in Baguio. Ilocano country daw kaya Marcos pa rin.

I still didn’t want to believe that there is still a strong solid North. How come Mrs. Imelda Marcos didn’t win when she ran for president, although she got a decent number of votes?
Bongbong didn’t get the number one senate spot although just like his mom, he also got a good following. Maybe those numbers were the Ilocano votes.

I did a second round of survey yesterday. This time I asked 60 people, ten more than the first day.

Notes:

I didn’t count a vote for Cayetano for President.
Voter—-“Si Cayetano ba tumatakbong president?”
Omb——“Hindi, vice sya”.

2. I didn’t count one vote for Duterte and one vote for Honasan because I found out that the guy is an American Citizen.
Fil-Am from L.A. —- “Ang gusto ko si Duterte at Honasan kasi pareho silang ma_____ tao”.

3. One employee of J.Co said “Mam, Duterte ako kasi gusto kong mawala ang mga drug addict dito sa Baguio”.
Omb——-“Marami bang nagda-drugs dito?”
Employee #1— “Oho mam”.
Employee #2—“Hindi ka nanonood ng tv, minura ni Duterte si Pope”.
Employee #1—“Gusto ko matapang”.
Omb———–“Sino’ng vice mo?”
Employee #1—“Si Marcos”.
Employee #3—“Ako rin Marcos. Matapang rin yun”.

4. Six haven’t thought of who to vote for president but quick to answer Marcos for vice.

OJTs from Bicol voted for Miriam and Marcos

I didn’t count one vote for a certain Marian for president, although I knew that the young voter from Bicol was referring to Miriam.
Voter—“Ako kay Marian”.
Omb—–“Walang Marian”.
Voter—“Marian Sanchez”.
Omb—–“Lalo na, baka Marian Rivera asawa ni Dingdong Dantes”.

There was a Miriam Concepcion the other day, today naman, si Marian Sanchez.

Our driver D is for Binay and Marcos.
Ayaw daw nya kay Duterte kasi salbahe at bastos, hindi daw iginalang si Pope. He strongly believes Binay will win the presidency.

This is James from Ifugao, Benguet. He is not interested to know who are those running for president. Basta sya Marcos from beginning (FM) to the end. He rationalizes that many people in Benguet are illiterate, no read no write daw and they are not aware of the many good deeds and support the Marcoses did for the people of Mountain Province. Tahimik lang daw si Bongbong hindi ipinagsasabi ang mabuting ginagawa ng mga Marcos kaya daw hindi alam ng mga tao.
