Today, we’re exploring the beautiful island of Nevis, the twin sister of St. Kitts.
A van picked us up from Marriott Bonvoy at 9 am and drove for 30 minutes to the pier.
Medyo nerbyos ako konti kasi baka mahilo ako. But I felt relieved when I learned that it would only take 5 to 6 minutes to cross the water. Mabilis lang pala. Kaya ko yan.
In less than 6 minutes we are here in the island of Nevis. Ang init.
I would like to come back here when the sun is more forgiving.
We attended a short presentation conducted by the Nevis Investment Promotion Agency on numerous foreign investment opportunities in the island particularly in the field of tourism, information technology and communications, entertainment such as film making, financial services, real estate, agriculture, and light manufacturing. Top celebrities, powerful individuals, and high net worth individuals vacation here for privacy. No paparazzi here.
Intermission by local drummers
We were brought to a crafts market. I wasn’t in the mood to buy handicrafts but when I saw this original painting of a chicken, wala na, I couldn’t resist buying it. $60 daw for this tiny art then she discounted it to $50.
She said she painted this a year ago and her it would be her last work.
