Yesterday, I suddenly remembered that I have a photo shoot next week.
I have no gown to wear.  I have grown so fat, all my gowns don’t fit anymore.
And they’re as old as I am.

I left the office at 3 pm and went to Greenbelt to buy a gown.

Di ba fabulous ladies are bedecked with fabulous jewels?  Hayan pa ang isang problema,  I don’t have fabulous jewels.  I don’t have jewels,  period.   My jewelries are so simple.   The kind and stone size you could hardly notice.

I don’t want to buy just to wear to the photo shoot.  And I am not the type who borrows things.  Susuot-suot hindi naman pala akin.  Hwag na lang.

There are several formal wear boutiques beside the shop of Jun Escario but I didn’t inquire from them. I forgot who made these gowns.

I only went inside one shop. Nay ku pooo, I saw a nice wedding gown by Jun Escario but definitely for someone whose body frame is half mine, and how much? A whooping one hundred fifty thousand pesos! I am not willing to spend a fortune for a dress that I would most likely wear only once.

I was in a hurry when I left Greenbelt.  I just walked straight to a waiting Ford Expedition.  I opened the door and the driver was so liit.  He was stunned.  Me too.  Ekk sino ito?

I regretted having agreed to be included among this year’s Philippine’s Most Fabulous.
The photo shoot is on August 27 but I begged of. I am not in the mood to do this kind of things. I am too old for that. I don’t look good, I don’t feel good, my mind is cluttered with so many worries and concerns. I have put on a lot of weight. I am at my heaviest. I know some women take this kind of thing seriously.
Liposuction is a quick fix. But I am so scared to undergo lipo. I don’t want to spend gazillion pesos to take away my fats.

Being fabulous is just not me. A fabulous butete maybe.

  1. Hi Ms. Annie,

I think you were chosen as one of the Philippines’ most fabulous because they saw in you what we your readers see. A fabulous lady who has aged gracefully and has accomplished a lot in life yet remains simple and humble. Like most of us say, you are our life peg. I would love to see you photographed just the way you are, no photoshop of any sort, not over accessorized. I wish for people to see your true and natural beauty (inside and out).

  2. Miss Annie, you are so pretty and still so slim! you don’t look your age and most importantly, you look wonderfully natural and not weird like the others who do something to their faces.

  3. I am inspired with your writing talents. You are so natural and candid. Your blog is not a paid topic which makes me like it the more.
Anyway thank you oh my buhay for making my nights relaxed. You are my nightly news.
