Although she’s only a few years older than my son, Sarah is Marvin’s ninang sa kumpil. We thought it would be best to get younger people who could be positive influences to my son rather than have some big shot guys my son could not relate to. Congressmen and senators will not be able to guide my son if he needs a friend to talk to. Kaya we chose siblings Leo and Sarah.
Time flies really fast, Sarah is now a full pledged nurse. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw her walking down the aisle with her boyfriend of several years, Dr. Trapper Yuvienco.
The wedding is like fairytale because of the venue Fernbrook Gardens in Alabang.
It’s my first time in this wedding venue. A royal carriage greets visitors at the grand entrance. Eto yata yung nakita ko one time sa TV merong couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, waving to their guests tapos pinag-lips to lips nung cameraman. Kung aabot kami ng 50th, bago mo mapilit si Edmund na i lips to lips ako eh kailangan saksakan mo muna ng cocaine.
The place’s grandness has the intention and ability to shock.
Giant ferns are used to decorate the whole place, in keeping with their theme “Ferns”
There are a lot of romantic photo spots like this one.
There were cocktail tables set up outside the grand reception hall but people opted to stay inside because there’s no aircon here. It was so hot most especially that we were all wearing long gowns.
Hanging hot air balloons provide some childlike fantasy.
A big fountain with black mermaids is at the center of the atrium.
Red carpet walk from the fountain to the entrance. You would feel more like a queen rather than a Hollywood celebrity.
There’s a bridge from the atrium to the chapel, overlooking a lagoon with a gondola. Kunwari nasa Venice.
One can see the strange looking roof shapes from Daang Hari.
There’s a big chapel where the weddings are held. The building’s construction looks rough when you’re up close but they look great in photos. There are lots of ferns in the makeshift altar that gives it a garden wedding atmosphere.
Romantic and pretty. I can imagine at night this place must be magical.
