I enjoy going to the Farmers Market in Cubao but unfortunately, I can’t go as often as I like. Busy-bisihan, tired, super traffic, sobrang time consuming even if it’s just a short drive from our residence, EDSA traffic going to Cubao could be bothersome. And also, if I am coming from the office, ayaw ko pumunta sa palengke kasi nakasuot ako ng relo, baka mahablot although parang wala namang snatchers in Farmers but I still don’t want to risk it.
I bought two kilos of lanzones at 250/kilo.
Me—— “Saan galing itong mga lanzones?”
Tindera—— “May nagdadala lang dito.”
I also bought two kilos of mangosteen for Edmund.
Me——- “Ipili mo ako nung bago pa, malambot pa yung balat.”
Tindera—– “Bagong dating lang mam yan”
Me——- “Saan galing?”
Tindera —— “Imported”
Me—– “Oh imported ito?”
Tindera—— “Oo mam, galing yan sa Davao.”
I was on my way out when I spotted Driscol blackberries and blueberries sold by another fruit stall. I got excited because those were the ones I feasted on whenever we’re in the US. We bought them from Safeway.
Me——- “Wow, meron p la dito nito? Saan galing, sa US?”
Fruit Vendor —— “Hindi mam, sa America.”
