When in California, Homegoods is still my favorite store to visit. They have a good selection of home decors. They also have truffle oils, truffle pasta, truffle salt. And you know that I am a sucker for truffles.
Despite my recent bad experience inside the Homegoods store in Las Vegas, I still went back to the store a few more times. Kahit iika-ika, shopping pa rin.
I really like this arm chair, bagay sana ito sa farmhouse, kaya lang paano ko iuuwi. I touched it several times. I really like it. It’s quirky.
I also don’t feel homesick when I am in any Homegoods store because there will always be Filipinos somewhere around the area. One or two cashiers, the floor clerk, and shoppers. Lots of Filipinos love shopping in Homegoods. And you know we like to talk loud, most especially when on the phone. Even if I don’t see them, I hear our kababayans loud and clear.
Filipina 1 (customer) —“I think it’s the ano… I think it’s the kase… It’s the ano kase….”
(Lady, I am waiting, ano ba kase?)

I love that chair too. I bought it but having a hard time styling it. Did you purchase?
Hi Rachel,
No, I didn’t buy it because I couldn’t figure out how I would ship that chair to the Philippines. It would cost me a lot of money and may not be worth it. It would look really nice in my cottage house.
