October 22, 2013 Tuesday St. Andrews
It was weird. We’ve been having breakfasts here at the Road Hole restaurant every morning and yet, our dinner was arranged at this restaurant again. And it’s supposed to be a fine dining.
Since it’s just 3 floors up from our room, I wore a mini skirt and a step-in. Useless din naman bihis ko. Wala lang, basta feeling ko, it didn’t matter.
We both had a small plate of East Neuk Crab orange and fennel salad, BPS 8.00 each
The first bite had Edmund and I smiling and exclaiming “ang sarap naman nito”.
Edmund ordered this 18g fillet of Black Isle Beef, with confit onions, pont beuf and Cafe de Paris butter BPS 36.00. He gave me half a slice and it was really perfectly seasoned and cooked. Grabe sa sarap.
Braised shin of Beef, with redwine, turnips, roasts root vegetables. BPS 24.00
I couldn’t finish it.
They gave us a nice spot, supposed to be overlooking the magnificent Old Course Links but the bright lights from the restaurant’s open-style kitchen reflecting on the glass window prevented us from enjoying what could have been a nice romantic backdrop.
I had vanilla and strawberry ice cream. The plate was bigger than the moon.
