Flight to Ataturk

I thought our flight to Turkey leaves on wednesday, May 22, in the afternoon. Yun pala May 22 nga but at 1 in the morning. That makes us cram. We have so many things to do each day, and it’s hard to just put down your pen, lock your office, and go.

I cancelled my attendance today at the private lunch hosted by Ambassador Delia Albert at the SGV Executive Lounge for the Global Summit participants in Kuala Lumpur next month.

It will be our first time to visit Turkey and friends ask, why Turkey? What’s in there?
We don’t know, we’re just going.

We got two complimentary all inclusive 5 days tour, with hotel accommodations, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. We’re paying for additional two and extending for two more days to see more of Istanbul.

We are taking Etihad Airways for the first time.
As in all group tours, to save on time, tour starts immediately after arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Our bus drives to Canakkale through Gallipoli, the site of World War I battles. We also visit Troy and to see the replica of the wooden Trojan Horse.

Daily bus rides allow my body to rest and take catnaps.
It would be a short 6 days vacation but a very welcome one.

God speed to our group. Turkey, here we come.
