Flight to Kuala Lumpur

I am interrupting my Turkey posts to give way to my Malaysian sojourn.

Parang kailan lang, dito na naman ako sa airport.
Meron pa nga akong jetlag from our long-haul Turkey trip.
028

4 lbs. overweight from my former-overweight weight.

030

Louisya
031

Do you know that these shoeshine guys are pioneers here at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (original name Manila International Airport)?
Manny has been working here at the shoeshine corner for 29 years.
Panahon pa sila daw ni President Marcos.
032

J R , 28 years and still counting.
035

I bought a box of pulvoron, my comfort food. Baka ito ang nakakataba.
037

I bought my tickets from PAL, yun pala Malaysian Airlines.
038

When I got to my seat 7 A there was a bag on my seat but no person.
040

I already asked the flight attendant to off-load her bag when Pam came back from the toilet pala. She’s travelling to Malaysia as company incentive. She works for Theramedic Inc. owned by Ed del Mundo, who inherited the business from his father.
041

042

After half-hour, they served us late lunch. I gave Pam my desserts.

044

Baka magutom ako kaya I ate na lang din the pansit.
045

The plane is a 3-3. It has no middle rows.
046

Although it was only a 3 1/2 hours flight, I got so inip. I watched the movie Going on a Distance starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long. Puro lips to lips naman.
I got more tired today that when we went to Turkey.
One hour before we landed, all of a sudden I started hyperventilating, I had panic attack.
Kasi cloudy, nakakahilo yung flight. Hilung-hilo ako.

049

The minute I stepped into Kuala Lumpur’s airport, I couldn’t help but wish for the Philippine Islands to have nicer airports.
051

052

I was sweating all over. It was so hot here and humid too. I took off my suit.
060

I only had 5 Malaysian Ringgit baon. I wanted to buy sana mais but I haven’t exchanged money yet.
061

There are 1,100 women who registered for this year’s Global Summit kaya the airport was full of women.
063

These guys were the ones who assisted me. I waited for half-hour before we left the airport. It was worth the wait because they put me on a new Mercedes Benz with an English-speaking chauffeur.
064

It was pouring, and we passed by two road accidents on our way to Shangri-La.
065

I made friends with Margaretta Noonan. The two of the us shared the car.
She’s from Rhode Island in the East Coast. She didn’t look a bit jet-lagged, with 50 hours travelling time plus 12 hours visit in LA.

Margaret is a management consultant and is an active officer of the summit’s organizing committee. She travels a lot but has never been to the Philippines
066

We reached our hotel at past 6 pm.
067

There’s a special check-in counter provided for the delegates with an all male staff.
068

069

I’m feeling dizzy. I couldn’t wait to get to my room.
