We were dropped off by the bus near the Piazza de la Scala and Piazza Leonardo da Vinci. The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping mall connects the piazza to the Duomo.
the Galleria opened to the public in 1877 and is one of the world’s oldest shopping malls. It’s older than the Eiffel Tower by around 12 years.

There are two Parada stores here. The other one was occupied by McDonald’s for 20 years. McDo sued the city when they were refused to renew their lease. There are at least two Mcdo in that area, one in front of Duomo and the other one near the Doumo’s side.

We had no time to go inside the Duomo. We just took a few pictures outside. Our next activity is lunch in a restaurant a few minutes walk from the Duomo.
