Ecuador, a country in South America is being ravaged by the covid / corochin virus and the situation is very grim. With a population of 20 million,
their government admitted that they were not prepared for the deluge of sick people and the number of deaths being reported could be far lower than the actual deaths.
Hospitals are overwhelmed and are not able to provide the necessary care for patients.
One day Flavio Ramos complained of having difficulty in breathing so his family brought him to a hospital. The first ten hospitals rejected him because they were full. The 11th hospital admitted him and he was placed on a wheelchair because they had no more beds. Flavio died the next day. When his son contacted the hospital to retrieve his father’s body, the hospital didn’t know where his body was. They told him to look in the morgue or in the container near the hospital. The son went to look for his dad’s body and coudn’t find it. After five days of inspecting more than 100 bodies, he still didn’t find his father. He gave up because he said he just couldn’t bear seeing more dead bodies. Sadly, he now has tested positive.
I hope he recovers. God bless him. God bless Ecuador.
