Last year I was the one who distributed the candies to the kids because my sister attended a wake. The pediatrician of all their daughters passed away.
I found this big Jack o Lantern at Pier 1 Imports. The sales lady said it’s the only one they’ve got and she gave me an extra $12 discount when she found out there’s a tiny portion at the back of the wooden pumpkin that’s peeling off. The Halloween decor is made of wood, hand painted and made in China where else
I placed four LED candles inside the pumpkin. That would shimmer at night.
I didn’t like the black cat so I bought a small bottle of Folk Art gold metallic paint from Joan’s and I painted the cat gold. It’s now golden cat.
I bought three packs of chocolates from Costco $15.99 each pack plus tax. I bought three more packs with 180 pieces of chocolates from another grocery.
I repacked the chocolates by putting 4 assorted pieces inside resealable sandwich plastics.
Tonight I have 200 packs for adults and kids. When that’s finished, then I will remove the jack o lantern outside the door to signal that the store is closed. Come again next year.
