The Herend Porcelain Manufactory which was established in 1826 recently closed for the winter season and would be open sometime in spring. I missed it by a few days.
It’s okay. I can go next time I visit (duh, meron pa palang next time).
The factory is in Herend, not in Budapest, and is accessible by train, bus, private car, or taxi. There are also daytime excursions with a 90-minute factory visit.
Herend has many retail outlets in the city and one is very near our hotel.
