It’s more expensive to maintain a horse than a cow. I have negligible expenses for Harry and Daisy. They munch the grass and drink water spiked with salt.

With Shallow, she has more needs and requires certain beauty products and they are expensive, not just ordinary plastic combs. She also has a special diet aside from organic grass.

Shallow, horse

She needs someone to ever so gently caress her face, her head, body, down to her feet.
She needs to be bathed at least twice a week and with Mane & Tail shampoo! She needs deworming quarterly and one can is P2,000.

Farm chickens are sensitive to heat, wind, rain, bacteria, virus. Big rats and snakes too, eat the baby chicks in the middle of the night when no one is looking. The vet convinced us that we should immunize all our chickens, hayun, Edmund paid the vet P4,000.
farm chickens

The ducks and chickens have strong appetites and never seem to get full. We only want to have a maximum of 100 chickens that lay eggs. This would be enough for our own consumption.

We were so disappointed when Edmund found out that Jersey is pregnant. No one wanted to admit it but the gardeners / caretakers let an outside dog mate with Jersey. We gave instructions from day one never to let outside dogs get near these two girls. Again, they defied us. Without our permission, they just let the dogs mate. Edmund suspected that they wanted to sell the puppies.
Two farm dogs

We have two new dogs for the farm, Choco and Latte. Edmund brought them to Manila to house train them. Edmund was supposed to bring the two back to the farm last week but I suggested to just let Choco and Latte stay with us in Manila in the meantime. It’s disorganized here at the farm and our caretakers are unreliable. Baka mapabayaan lang yung dalawa. Two of them are leaving, kesyo pupunta raw sa Saudi Arabia.

    1. Hi Pinay Geek,
I believe she will no longer grow any bigger. Her baby would be smaller than her.
