Delayed post
Last May, we stayed at a much bigger hotel, more high end and a lot more expensive. It was modern and had a sweeping view of the town. I didn’t enjoy staying in that Sofitel Hotel. It was quite a walk to the shops and I had bad memories in that hotel.
For my trip with Aileen this November 12-15, I opted for a hotel that’s right in the center of the pedestrian shopping area and closer to the cathedral. After surfing online for several days, I booked two rooms at the Hotel Europa Wien.
The price was Euro 180 a night for one room. That’s half the price of what we paid for each Sofitel room per night in May.
Hotel Europa is very spartan. It’s not even a four star.
The bed was big enough for one person. Aileen and Kimberly were on Room 514 on the same floor, same side.
This was my work station for 2 days.
Small, simple but clean and decent
View from my window. An hour after we checked in on November 12, The music outside started to annoy me. I could hear the noise from the shopping area outside. Aside from the hush-hush of people, there’s a music that was okay in the beginning but after a while my ears were kulili na. I couldn’t see where it was coming from so I decided to go down to check it out.
Eto pala sya. It was an old man trying to earn a living by playing this music, hayaan ko na lang nga. He would get tired soon then stop.
