Delayed post November 12 / 13, 2015

I’ve been to Vienna 3x but it was only during my recent trip that It dawned on me that this is more of a shopping place, of course not to mention the famous Viennese Opera.

This place, around Stephansplatz is a shopping district. If one is a shopper, this is the place to be. I think it’s more convenient to shop here than in Milan because the shops in Stephansplatz are more compact, closer to each other. The luxury brand boutiques are interspersed with the less expensive brands, unlike in Milan, they are clustered. But of course, Milan is Milan. It has its own appeal and it won’t be called the Fashion Capital of the World for nothing.

On our first night, although tired from the long road trip from Prague and feeling sleepy, we still went out. Aba sayang ang gabi. We would only be here for three nights so no wasting of shopping opportunities.

Hermes closed earlier than usual because there was a rally in front of their boutique.

The rally was very orderly. They were just standing there and listening to someone speaking.

Louis Vuitton was closing in 15 minutes, habol, last two minutes!

We met a Californian working at the LV store named Irish. She told us how she landed in Europe. Her parents are originally from Austria if I am not mistaken. The store had closed so we got to move. Aileen promised she shall return the next day. She was primed to buy.

We passed by the Long Champ store. I don’t have a Long Champ and it has not crossed my mind to buy one. We saw they have new and nice display so we entered their store. They were closing in ten minutes. Len didn’t like the tone of the puti sales staff when she said they were closing. Maybe they were in a hurry to get home.

The souvenir shops were usually the last to close at night.

Very nice to look at, easy on the pocket, heavy on the maleta. Pass.

A few weeks before our travel, my sister already decided what bag to bring because she was planning on buying two LVs. I advised her to bring something she could pack flat in the maleta or throw away if needed. I also told her not to bring a second bag. Basta kung anon gamit sya sa flight, yun na lang para travel light. She brought this canvass bag I gave her a few years ago. Kababayan kooooo ako ay Pilipino!

The basilica in Budapest is also St. Stephen’s. Dito rin si St. Stephen’s. There’s also one in Brisbane. Bakit kaya pareho lang.

The organ was playing and the lights inside were changing every few seconds.

We continued to walk further away from St. Stephensdom. The shops in this area are smaller and no more luxury stores here.

At 9 pm, the temperature had dropped and it was “walk faster” time. Kimberly wanted to eat gelato, naghahanap ng kasamahan.
“Tita, do you want to eat ice cream?”
“Naku anak maginaw”.

There are very large Christmas decors hanging above. Maybe they would light them come December. Must be awesome.

Christmas makes one feel young. We’re like little children admiring anything and everything that’s Christmas.
